Bidfood Opava: Ice cream

We produce a majority of the ice cream under the brand Prima. Most favored items are Mrož and Pegas; last years they are number 1 and number 3 most sold ice cream in the Czech Republic. The most successful one is strawberry Mrož – there are approximately 30 million made each year. To put in perspective, you would need 1 million kilograms of strawberries and 75 days of 24-hour production.

Items from the Mrož product line always contain a minimum of 50% of the primary resource – curd cheese, fruit or yogurt. We have received the “Klasa” brand award for a distinctive Mrož quality. Other Prima ice cream doing very good in independent tests. For example, in 2014 experts from VŠCHT Prague deducted a tasting test and chemical analysis for the magazine Svět potravin. Ice cream Kuba won the first place, while Mrož yogurt and curd shared the second place with Lidl’s Smíšek.
