Quality Certification
Since 2006, Bidfood companies have held certifications such as IFS Food, BIO and HACCP. Bidfood is committed to food quality, sustainability, and responsibility – even beyond its formal obligations. It has repeatedly met the requirements of international certifications as the first in the Czech Republic – such as MSC (2015) and ASC (2017).
Regular audits
Systematic audits by certification authorities confirm the high standards of hygiene and quality in both production and logistics operations. These standards are consistently reaffirmed by numerous audits conducted by major clients and retail chains.
Certification leadership
- The production facilities of Bidfood Kralupy received IFS Food and HACCP certifications already in the summer of 2006. Bidfood Opava has held these certifications in its operations since 2010.
- The distribution network of Bidfood Czech Republic obtained its first IFS Logistics certification in August 2012.
The fish processor Bidfood Kralupy and the distributor Bidfood Czech Republic became the first holders of the prestigious MSC certification in the Czech Republic in 2015, and the first to receive ASC certification in 2017.
The certifications below refer specifically to Bidfood Czech Republic. Bidfood Slovakia is certified for IFS and BIO.
IFS Food
An international standard focused on food production facilities. It assesses hygiene levels, compliance with legal requirements, and the effectiveness of the quality management system. Bidfood production sites consistently achieve the highest rating levels.
IFS Logistics
A certification covering food storage and distribution. Regular audits confirm that our warehouses, vehicle fleet, and staff meet the strictest quality and safety standards.
IFS Broker
Extends the IFS Logistics standard with a focus on full product traceability, compliance with technical specifications, and strict control of storage and transport processes, including internal checks.
HACCP
The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points system helps prevent situations that could compromise food safety and hygiene. Its correct implementation and operation are reviewed annually by independent external auditors.
SVS – Státní veterinární správa
Routine inspections conducted by SVS ensure full compliance with veterinary regulations during the handling, production and storage of animal-based products.
V-Label
An internationally recognized and registered trademark used for labeling vegetarian and vegan products. Bidfood holds V-Label certification for selected items.
MSC – Marine Stewardship Council
This certification supports sustainable fishing practices. It confirms Bidfood’s environmentally responsible approach to sourcing, processing and distributing fish products while protecting marine ecosystems.
ASC – Aquaculture Stewardship Council
A standard focused on environmentally and socially responsible aquaculture. Certification guarantees sustainable production practices in fish and seafood farming.
Česká cechovní norma
A national set of standards that defines stricter composition rules than general legislation. It limits or prohibits the use of certain additives or undesired ingredients.
BIO
An organic farming certification that is essential for distributing organic products. Bidfood’s production and storage facilities undergo regular audits by independent authorities to ensure compliance with strict BIO requirements.
