Ice cream on a stick has been produced in Opava since the 1970s. Bidfood makes it of first class raw materials – curd cheese, cream, yogurt and fresh fruits. At the present time, we produce approximately 12 million liters of ice cream per annum. This amount would translate to an 18km long row of 1000 trucks.

Opava has a long tradition of ice-cream production, dating to 1950s. Many products haven’t changed since although nowadays we are producing it in modern facilities passing all the regulatory and voluntary requirements. Bidfood is the biggest manufacturer of ice-cream in Czech Republic and Slovakia and also an important producer of frozen meals or sous-vide meat.
